Top 10 Weirdest World Records

When people think of world records, they usually think of things that are done in their daily routine, but in an obscure way. Well, this article is here to let you know that world records go way beyond that. I will be telling you about some of the weirdest records and their background.

10th is someone with the world’s stretchiest skin. This was awarded to Gary Tuner in 1999 when he stretched the skin on his abdomen to about 6.25 inches! 

9th is the largest collection of ducks. The total number of ducks in the collection was 5,631, which was bought by Charlotte Lee who had actually intended to stop after only seven! 

8th is the largest guitar amp in the world, with a height of 2.47m, a length of 3.06 m and a width of 1.3 m, made by full sail university on the 30th of June 2017. 

7th is the longest burp on record, lasting one minute and 13 seconds, having been achieved by Michele Forgione in 2009. 

6th is one that I didn’t even know could  be a record. It is the most tricks performed by a pig. This pig did 15 tricks in one minute, including feats like putting rings on a pole, playing the xylophone and average dog tricks. 

Have you ever typed with your nose? Well 5th belongs to Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, who typed the alphabet with his nose in 26.73 seconds. 

4th is the most snails on one’s face for ten seconds. Personally, I would never put any snails on my face, so this was very ambitious of Mike Dalton who put 48 snails on his face for ten seconds. No one has been able to break this record since it was set on November 11th, 2009.

3rd is the record for the biggest pillow fight, with about 7,861 people participating. This was achieved by MyPillow, inc, and it hasn’t been broken despite many large pillow fights being organised. 

A close runner up, 2nd is the most toilet seats broken in one minute. Kevin Shelley achieved this in Germany on September 1st 2007, breaking 46 toilet seats on his head. That’s more toilet seats than my dad has broken just by sitting on them.

Now, for the moment we’ve all been waiting for. 1st place goes to the largest gathering of people dressed as Albert Einstein. 4 schools - Marymede Catholic College, St. Mary’s Primary School, St. Joseph’s Primary School, and St. Paul the Apostle’s Primary School - gathered 541 people in Australia on the 16th of August, 2018, dressed as Einstein.
