If so, let's jump into the holy grail of movie plot twists and double crosses with a good portion of laughs mixed in: Red Notice.
Information:
Red Notice is a Netflix special that brought in 328.8 million viewing hours, Netflix reports, topping the previous record held by Sandra Bullock's “Bird Box” in 2018 with 282 million viewing hours. Even more amazing, 50 percent of all Netflix's subscribers (119.20 million) around the world have viewed Red Notice. The movie is roughly 1 hr and 57 mins and is produced by renowned producers such as Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, Rawson Marshall Thurber, Beau Flynn and Dwayne Johnson. This film stars popular actors such as Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the main protagonists and Gal Gadot as the antagonist, but remember, there are plot twists and double crosses galore in this movie (wink,wink) . IMb rates this PG - 13 movies 6.3/10, Rotten Tomatoes giving it 37% and an Audience Rating of 4.0/5.0. Its PG-13 rating means it's fine for most older kids and can be enjoyed thoroughly by adults as well.

Background info
A Roman General named Mark Antony was meant to be married to the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. For a wedding gift, he gives her 3 bejewelled eggs that are soon lost to history until a farmer in 1907 discovers two of them. The last egg still remains a mystery; a mystery that has lasted over 2,000 years.
In the movie, the story then diverges to the wedding of the daughter of an Egyptian billionaire. Due to Egyptian history and the fact that said daughter is named Cleopatra, the billionaire decides to award $300 million dollars to whoever can bring him all three eggs by his daughter's wedding day. This sends a message to criminals Nolan Booth and Sarah Black (aka The Bishop) that it's time to strap on their gloves and get stealing.
Storyline
John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is an FBI agent who is assigned to investigate the theft of an egg of Cleopatra in Rome’s Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo with the help of Interpol, namely agent Urvashi Das (Ritu Arya).The thief who stole the egg is worldwide criminal Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) who then gets captured (along with the egg) by Hartley in his own home in Bali. However, Booth's main criminal competition Sarah “The Bishop” Black steals the egg while working undercover in Interpol. Hartley is then believed to be the thief and is sent to the same high security prison in Russia as Booth. Hartley and Booth decide through their differences that the only way to clear Hartley's name and make Booth No.1 criminal in the world again is to work together. The pair then break out of the prison in an epic battle scene. For most of the movie they travel all over the world to different countries and meet dangerous people along their journey (while nearly getting killed multiple times). This dangerous trip also includes some scenes of many popular destinations such as Rome, Spain and England along with some of their most popular tourist attractions.
My Review:
Red Notice is a great movie, jam packed with action, humour and adventure. This great hybrid movie entertained me for hours because I’ve almost watched it 5 times now! The main stars such as Reynolds and Johnson just add that special ingredient to the movie mix that never ceases to amaze me. I cannot stress enough how much I love and recommend this movie. From the explosions down to the very scripted speech itself, this movie gets 10/10s all around from me. Especially if you just want a funny movie to enjoy with your kids or friends, Red Notice ticks all the boxes.

This movie is definitely a must watch if you haven’t done so already.
