Travelling the world has always been my number one dream. The joy of meeting new people, visiting beautiful places full of history and eating delicious food. I once read that we travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us – and I can guarantee you that you will understand the meaning of this bythe end of this article.
Imagine sitting on a plane, curled up into a blanket, while reading your favourite book with a hot chocolate in your hand! It is one of the most surreal experiences I have ever had in my life, and it never fades away! As I have grown older, my love for travelling has grown even more.
I spent most of my life in India and always enjoyed visiting different states. During long weekends, my parents and I would take a quick three-hour flight to visit cities with beautiful views.
During one of these visits, we went to Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes, and one of the places we explored was the City Palace. The palace is famous for its intricate architecture, which beautifully combines Rajasthani, Mughal, European, and oriental styles. Surrounded by fortifications, the palace is primarily constructed with granite and marble. This trip allowed me to escape the pressures of studying and fully experience the magic of the moment. I will always cherish this unforgettable experience.
Soon after that, I visited the Elephanta Caves with a few friends, which is close to where we live. These caves are dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, who is known as the supreme god. They connect the ideologies of Hindu and Buddhist ideas, showing how important it is to merge and live as a single community.
Travelling can sometimes bring back a lost spark, or show you something about yourself that you never knew. It can allow you to learn about your rich cultures and to find yourself if you ever feel lost and unsure about what you are doing.
I have a natural appreciation for travel and for the doors it can open, which I inherited from my mother and grandfather. They instilled in me a deep love for exploring the world. When I travel, I feel free to be myself and immerse myself in a world where it's just me. Discovering your passion is crucial; it can make the difference between simply existing and truly being happy!
