In the modern-day world humanity favours dogs. Most common pet? The dog. Most loved pet? The dog. But the easiest pet to take care of? That title belongs to cats. It is proven that cats are easier to take care of and support with over 70% percent of cat owners believing cats are simpler to take care of.
Unlike dogs, who thrive on care and attention, cats can go without their owners, often enjoying their solo time alone in the house. They can go up to an average of 12 hours without stressing over the absence of their loving owner. Some cats reported to be perfectly content on staying alone for a complete day, making them more efficient for first time pets, and the 80% of pet owners that are away at work for sustained periods of time. (However, the time length often depends on the personality of the cat.)
Another common stress source of pet owners is the often-limited space they have in their household. Dogs require large space to exercise and support their health, making them a difficult option as a pet in limited space. However, on the other hand, cats thrive in small spaces, enjoying small corners and areas. The only essential equipment that cats need are a litter box and a few vertical items, unlike dogs who often need 10-15 essential items for a simple everyday life.
In conclusion, I believe that cats are easier to take care for than dogs, they require less space, items, and can thrive alone without their owners for often hours. The 82% of cat owners agree, these animals are simple and easy to raise and keep, betting dogs when it comes cleaning with their efficiency.
