Brawl Stars has always been my favourite video game of all time. Ever since I was eight years old, I would tap the OG icon of the game, hear the familiar ping of the producer’s emblem, and hear the original ‘famous’ few notes of the game as I signed into my account (bem bam ba bing, ba bim ba!). But ever since Draco and Clancy have been released, they have dominated the 3v3 lobbies, and eliminated other brawlers that have stepped into their paths, forbidding me to grind on any other brawlers except their counters. After weeks of dealing with that rubbish, I was finally moved into writing this article. I’m sorry Brawl Stars, but you are setting yourself up for failure - and I, for one, have very little sympathy.
As soon as Pay-to-Wins and Full-Time players see those last words, they will probably disagree with me. And I know, no fan wants to hear this, but it’s the truth. Brawl Stars used to be a really fun game when I first joined, a diverse game where everyone would play and chat in peace, but there are some subtle problems that plague the game. First off, there are brawlers that have more skins in the game than others. For example, Fang and Buzz. These two assassins get new skins every single season immediately on release. If you scroll in the catalogue, Fang and Buzz’s sections will look a bit like this:
Whereas there are some brawlers in the game who only get like one skin every ten season’s like Mico. The only skins he has are his MISC skin and Grinch Mico. That’s it. That is so unfair to people who main Mico and other brawlers who don’t even have five skins in their catalogue.
Second off, the recent brawler releases have been a little bit fishy, especially Draco, Clancy, and Kenji (which will release mid-September). These brawlers have attacks and super abilities that are undeniably similar to some even older brawlers. For example, Clancy levels up in-game, just like Surge (only without his super, it depends on the amount of damage)! Furthermore, Draco’s dragon form does the exact same thing as Pam and Amber, and all of their attacks do the same amount of damage! And I don’t even want to talk about Kenji, which has literally the same attack as Mortis and the same super as Grom. Only he heals every time he attacks someone. As soon as they were released into the game, these brawlers have only become more dominant.
Ok, so, you have read far enough and wasted enough of your time to reach the conclusion. Brawl Stars is releasing brawlers who do the exact same things, act the same ways, and haven’t even balanced their abilities to other brawlers. This has happened ever since the release of Kit. Sorry Brawl Stars, but you are the root of your own downfall.
