Everyone thinks that stairs should get banned because it is so tiring.
I think banning stairs would be a change to everybody since most people have been using stairs most of their life and, like me, having escalators and lifts as a replacement for stairs would be great for a little while. However, there are some pros and cons of why stairs should be banned:
The good thing about banning stairs is that people won't have to walk up and down, and can quickly reach where they are supposed to go.
The bad thing about banning stairs is that escalators need electricity to function, and imagine how much electricity we would need for the whole of Singapore, if not the world, to swap stairs with escalators! And that’s just one reason.
For lifts, people could use them to go up and down to places easily, but what about waiting? If you had an urgent meeting starting in a minute, taking the lift would be the easy option, if there weren't others on different floors, also waiting for the lift. By the time you get into the lift, you would have reached there by now.
Another point I would like to say is that not banning stairs is that it is a great way to do exercise too!
In conclusion, I think stairs shouldn't be banned.
