Top 3 Musicals For Teens

Despite COVID-19 restrictions, and not being able to go into the theatre, that is not stopping theatre lovers from talking about their favourite musicals. This article will talk about the top 3 best musicals for teens.

First of all, we have the hit musical ‘Hamilton'. This show tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, who played a big part in the American revolution. This play shows his life story and how he got to where he was through rapping. I believe that this is a magnificent musical for teens because as well as learning something new, teens can also get a different experience of theatre and will thoroughly enjoy it. Hamilton is a musical like no other and I would highly recommend this musical for all teens. 

Next up is ‘13 the musical’. This show is relatable to all as the story focuses on how you change when you are teens. This musical is about a boy named Evan Goldman. He is just about to turn 13 and his life is going downhill. 13 ‘s music features elements of pop and ballad songs. I think this musical suits teens perfectly, as when you are watching a musical you should be able to feel what the characters are feeling, and as teens, I feel they will connect with the story.

Last is the musical ‘Dear Evan Hanson’, this musical is about a fictional character named Evan Hanson, he has a disorder and has to try and overcome it throughout the story. It is good for not only teens but for everyone to learn a lesson on how to socialise and look at the bright side of things. As well as Evan overcoming his disorder, he also has to try and make new friends. Dear Evan Hanson is something teens should watch.
