This is George from The Last Word and today I’m back with sports. This time taking a new angle on sports which would benefit both children and parents. This sport will help the participant with respect, control and teach you a mean kick and punch. You might have guessed by now I am talking about Taekwondo, a sport that I love and respect and have already achieved a red belt.
One of the best Taekwondo Dojo’s in Singapore is Hankuk. Hankuk may seem like fun and it is, but tread lightly as Master Lee expects a lot from you. No doubt, though, he will change you for the better. Taekwondo is about patience, memory and lots of practice, but when you bring it altogether in sparring, things really get interesting. You will need to put all your kicks and moves into a fight scenario and test your skills against your opponent.
It takes about two years of practice before you can get into competitions. The training is rigorous but all worth it when you enter your first tournament. There are 3-4 tournaments a year and there is no better feeling than standing on the mat for your first tournament and with the help of Hankuk win your first medal. So join Hankuk if you are up for it and join Master Lee’s award winning squad.
